We had other commitments today so I had to leave the radioo just as Hali forced the strip sack. Thankfully, we had other commitments today...
Just read your live blog. Love your writing (about anything). Anxiously waiting the iPad review. Mostly I wanted to thank you for the Katie the Prefect column. Great writing, great story, Katie sounds like the perfect girl to be working that job. Dark Side of the Mood
Watched the game in a local Movie Theatre that was showing it for free. It was like being there live to watch the crowd slowly get the life sucked out of it.
The Charles fumble was a momentum changer, but it was the silly 4th and inches play that completely changed the game. QB sneak was a no brainer there. You should make it and even if you don't, it limits the negative. An example of a coach (Haley or Weiss?) tragically overthinking. This took the Chiefs out of their game plan and they only ran the ball one time afterwards. 2-Mccluster Fumble (and disastrous sequence leading up to it-the beginning of the complete abandonment of the run game. 3-INT on next possesion was the nail. 4-Charles' fumble-early in the game and easy to overcome. 5-Bowe's Flu?? One of the keys to the game was the complete inability to get an open receiver and Bowe was the worst offender. This led to sacks and INT's, and possibly the intentional grounding (He may have broken off his route) This highlights the Chiefs ongoing need at WR. 6-Deferring after winning the toss. To me, the only reason to Defer is when you have a DOMINANT defense. One of the keys to the game for me was the time of possesion. In most of Baltimore's losses (as well as a near loss to the Saints) their defense tired late. By the time we got the ball the second time the time of possesion battle was lost.
P.S. I love Gates OK Joe's and Bryants but I am a Jackstack man for 40 years. (But I am just a white boy)
Great idea, Joe. Definitely do it again, please.
ReplyDeleteGreat restraint in not naming the hotel in AZ that can't provide you a reliably working playoff weekend TV.
ReplyDeleteBuck would ask me which BBQ place I liked, I would say Bryant's, he would say: "Aw, what do you know, you're just a white boy."
ReplyDeleteHow that is not the title of this blog escapes me.
And, if only there was audio.... the celebrations we would have here.....
Joseph,

Banny in Japan? Oh well, dimsum, lose some.
ReplyDeleteIf they want to follow the pattern, the next 49ers head coach, after Harbaugh, could actually be Leslie Frazier, Ron Rivera, or Jeff Fisher.
